In this book Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allah have mercy on him, replies to Fakhr al-Din al-Razi, may Allah have mercy on him and pardon him. Although he addresses al-Razi's book Ta'sis al-Taqdis in particular, his reply is aimed at everyone who calls to the position of the Ash'aris, follows their school and holds their view on the divine Attributes. His replies cover the arguments al-Razi made against those who affirm the Attributes, the question of Allah's being above the Throne, the interpretation of the ambiguous texts, and other issues.
In this abridgement we have sought to allow the widest possible readership to benefit from the work, by bringing its knowledge closer and making it easier to grasp.
