Sharia-based governance is one of the most serious and delicate fields of life: through it internal and external relations are ordered, the right method for the Islamic political system is drawn, and the state is guided wisely to secure its interests and ward off harm.
The Rightly Guided Caliph Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib was a master in this field. Allah willed that his rule be a time of wars, trials and unrest, and he was able to face these challenges while striving to apply Islam truly and to seek the objectives of the Sharia — armed with the insight, intelligence, perception, precision and abundant knowledge that Allah gave him, refined by his closeness to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him.
