There is no doubt that the Farewell Sermon reflects the soundness of the society of the Prophetic age. It established a number of civilisational achievements and abolished what was contrary to the law of Allah, founding and completing the Muslim society, its values and its wellbeing; indeed, the age of prophethood represents the triumph and continuity of the upright way and the elevation of Muslim society.
The sermon of the Messenger of Islam, peace and blessings be upon him, at the Farewell Pilgrimage has inspired Muslims to continue civilisational action, sound thinking and wise ijtihad in finding solutions to the new issues societies face. It also came to establish and ground the Islamic values that move believers to build the civilisational project, with its institutions of learning and education, and to make plans in light of those values to protect Islam and its people.
